Dr. Rosalynn Gaskins began her career as an elementary school teacher for Prince George’s County Public Schools. Early on, she knew that she wanted to devote her career to improving teaching and learning within urban schools. As department chair and teacher leader, she often led professional development focused on cooperative learning, character education, and differentiating instruction. During her career, she served as an instructional coach, instructional lead teacher, and administrator. As an instructional leader, she leads teacher teams to utilize data to increase student achievement within schools. Dr. Gaskins is passionate about improving the teaching and learning culture of urban schools and committed to increasing student achievement.
Dr. Gaskins earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Morgan State University, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction (Administration) from McDaniel College, and a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University. Her research focused on the role of instructional coaches within professional learning communities.
